Is it just me, or is the world accelerating more and more each day? Developing a 10 minutes skincare routine is a true necessity nowadays. What a couple of years ago was 24h, it now feels like 12h. Balancing between the revamping of Fields of Yarrow and our new product line, my life as a mom, wife, and daughter, and my personal time is getting harder and harder. This pushes me to reduce my personal time to be able to do everything that I need to do daily. I’ve reached a point where efficiency has become a necessity. If you’re like me and have little time for yourself, below you’ll find tips on a skincare routine that you can do in 10 minutes or less. Being busy does not have to mean giving up on taking care of your skin.

The Beauty of Consistency

Between all the commitments I juggle daily, I need to recognize the immense value of maintaining a consistent skincare routine. Just as we prioritize work deadlines, kids’ doctor appointments, and social engagements, our skin also deserves our constant attention. Consistency amplifies the transformative potential of each skincare step, leading to a complexion that radiates natural brilliance.

The Bases of a Skincare Routine

First, let’s quickly go over the primary points of a skincare routine according to Dr. Heather Rogers, a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon:

  • Skincare is not like multiplying. The order in which you apply the products matters. A great rule of thumb is to apply the products according to their consistency. This means from thinnest to thickest or from liquid to cream. Cleanser → Tonic → Serum → Treatment → Eye Care → Moisturizer
  • Simplicity goes a long way. A highly complex skincare routine with many steps and multiple products requires you to consider the time it takes to absorb the product. A simpler routine allows you to skip these precious minutes of waiting.
  • Listen to your skin. You are unique, and so is your skin. No matter what experts say, you must find out what works for you.

The Weekly Skincare Routine

Integrate your daily skincare routine with your selection of weekly treatments. I personally use these:

Mastering Your Daily Routine

As we said, a Weekly Skincare Routine works together with your daily skincare routine. Here’s what I do daily.

Keep in mind that the steps I list below are the steps that I do every morning and night. Once you get used to it, it becomes a relatively fast routine.

  1. Cleansing: A fresh start for radiance with the Spirulina & Moringa | Clarifying Cleanser
  2. Toner: Revitalizing and renewing with the Bulgarian Rose | Soothing Toner
  3. Serum: Get a booster of skin-loving nutrients with the Basil & Cassia | Antioxidant Face Serum Stick
  4. Eye Care: Rejuvenate and brighten the area with the Ginseng, Camellia, & Peptide | Revitalizing Eye Serum→ If you suffer from panda eyes, check out my Guide On How to Get Rid of Eye Bags.
  5. Hydration: Nourish in a flash with the Wild Rose & Geranium | Illuminating Face Oil
    1. If you have really dry skin, there are other natural products that can help. Check out my Guide On How to Choose the Right Moisturizer for Dry Skin.
  6. Sun Protection: Shield and Shine. It’s important to wear SPF if you have to spend time outside between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. During these hours, the sun is at its strongest, and protection can make a difference in a process called photoaging (when you’re skin shows signs of early aging due to the harm that UV rays cause)

Here are the products that I’ve developed to multitask and solve most of the needs of any busy woman who needs a fast skincare routine. These natural skin care products are to be used at your will, depending on your established routine and the specific needs of your skin.

Elevate the efficiency of your skincare ritual through mindful techniques:

  • Preparation: Arrange your products in sequence for effortless access during application. I have my products arranged by the order in which I will use them in an easy-to-access place in my bathroom.
  • Multitasking Products: Opt for products with multitasking formulations, joining steps without compromising effectiveness. A great example is a moisturizer with SPF for the morning. Two steps in one!
  • Little Does It: Dispense recommended product quantities – a modest measure is enough for splendid outcomes.
